Quick Note: Apple Issues iOS PDF Security Fix in the Form of iOS 4.0.2 and 3.2.2

Apple has released updates to iOS addressing the PDF security hole we’ve heard so much about in recent weeks. The update come in iOS 4.0.2 for the iPhone and iPod touch, and iOS 3.2.2 for the iPad. This update of course, disables the JailbreakMe web service that sparked interest in the security hole in the first place.

Apple just over a week ago claimed that they had developed a fix and it would be included in a forthcoming update. This is probably one of the fastest turnaround times for a security hole I’ve seen from Apple in a long time.

Lastly, you can download the update by hooking up your device to your computer, launching iTunes, and clicking the “Check for Updates” in the device’s panel.
