Lovely iPhone Rumor of the Week–WiFi Sync to be Announced at September 1 Apple Event
WiFi sync has been near the top of my iPhone wish list for quite a while. It is actually available now if you are jailbroken, via the Wi-Fi Sync jailbreak app – which has always worked well for me whenever I ‘m jailbroken.
Now there are rumors that Apple may be about to announce their own WiFi sync solution for iDevices at next Wednesday ‘s special event.
Sources close to All Things Digital say they may be doing just that at next week ‘s ‘special event ‘ where it ‘s expected a new range of iPod Touches will be announced. The reasoning behind this is that a new A4-processor inside an iPhone 4-like iPod Touch would see the requisite amount of data encyption across the entire range, something Apple ‘s licensing requires.
If we were allowed to cast our votes for changes we ‘d like to see announced next week, this one would definitely get mine. How about you?

I think it's too big of a news to be announced at an iPod event. I believe wifi sync will come with iOS 5.

I'm not sure we're gonna hear anything groundbreaking. For example, I don't think we're gonna hear about iTV.
I think we'll see (obviously) new iPod Touch (retina, facetime, etc…), and probably something related to iTunes (cloud).
iTV is too big of a deal to be squeezed in between 2 iPods. Since it's not gonna be a "hobby" anymore, they might as well get a full event dedicated to iTV.
But hey, I'm only right 97% of the time, so who knows

I think what you've said about iTV sounds right. As for my predictions, I'm not sure I have too many at all. I feel much more comfortable making some when we're looking at an iPhone or iPad focused event, rather than one of these mystery / music-focused ones.
If there are any mentions of iPhone or iPad related things, I'd love to hear that we'll see a fix for the proximity sensor issues very soon, and iOS 4 for iPad even sooner.

My list of demands to make me stop jailbreaking are as follows:
Scrolling folders
SMS anywhere
Quick access toggles (Bluetooth and wifi)
And really really big Pectoral Muscles.
Ha! Great list. I'd vote for those last two – in fact SBS style toggles would be damn near number one for me. Oh, and I'll take stronger triceps as well please.
