The iOS 4.1 update for the iPhone and iPod Touch is out now.  Just as indicated by that recent ‘leak’ on the Apple UK site, it has become available one week after it was announced by Steve Jobs at Apple’s special event last week.

This is a pretty major update, with some important bug fixes as well as some notable new features.

New features include Game Center, HDR photos on the iPhone 4, and more.

Bug fixes include:

  • iPhone 4 proximity sensor performance
  • iPhone 3G performance
  • Bluetooth improvements

The update is installing now on my iPhone 4.  If you’ve already applied it, please share your thoughts and experience with iOS 4.1 in the comments.
