After only one + years of being (cough, cough) ‘under review’ by Apple, the official Google Voice app for the iPhone has hit the App Store.

Back In September, Apple allowed two third party Google Voice apps back into the App Store, marking a reversal of their previous rejection of these apps. They had never officially rejected Googles own Google Voice app, but had also never approved it until this week – which has long been thought to be another result of the souring relations between Apple and Google over the last couple years.

Here’s the details on the new Google Voice app, via its App Store page:

Access your Google Voice account right from your iPhone.

Receive push notifications for new text or voicemail messages.

Send free text messages to U.S. numbers and make international calls at cheap rates.

Listen to your voicemail, read transcripts and manage your Google Voice inbox.

Display your Google Voice number as caller ID when making calls.

Call contacts from your iPhone Address Book or enter new numbers on the dialpad.

A Google Voice account is required to use this app. To sign up go to www.google.com/voice.

Google Voice is only available in the United States.

You can find Google Voice in the App Store now, and it’s a free app.
