Twitter – the official Twitter app for iPhone and iPad – has been updated this week, to Version 3.2.1. The big new addition is push notifications for @mentions and messages – a feature that several 3rd party iOS Twitter client apps have had for a long while, and that is also done very well by specialist apps like Boxcar.
Here’s the full list of what’s new in this version for the iPhone:
* Push notifications for @mentions and messages
* Improved display of shortened URLs
* Correctly load reserved Twitter.com paths, such as http://twitter.com/newtwitter
* Fix connection error caused by a device clock being set incorrectly
* Additional retina graphics
* Enable geotagging in your account with one tap
* fix itunes links
You can find this latest version of Twitter in the App Store now, and it is a free app.
