I really want to recommend that you buy Wi-Fi Sync for $2.99 (less than a third of its regular price) on Cydia, but, unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be working for me right now. I’m using the latest version iTunes and the latest iOS firmware (4.2.1 as of this writing), and I made sure to reboot both my iPhone and my Mac after installing Wi-Fi Sync.
I’m thinking of writing in to the developer Greg Hughes for support, but Patrick has told me that he’s had some issues reaching him (and that others have reporte this as well), so I’m not exactly optimistic about hearing back.
However, Wi-Fi Sync 2.0 is apparently just around the corner (hopefully not the same corner that Things OTA Sync is around), which will bring over-the-air sync and hopefully compatibility with iOS 4.2 and/or iTunes 10.1 (whichever one needs fixing).
So are you willing to make a $3 bet on Wi-Fi Sync working for your device when 2.0 comes out? If so, you’ve got until December 11 to take advantage of this discount.
