SBSwitcher – SBSettings Comes to the Multitasking Bar

Ah now that’s a nice looking home screen and Multitasking Bar, with lots of cute little SBSettings toggles sitting pretty in it. They’re in there via a new jailbreak tweak called SBSwitcher – which brings SBSettings toggles to the Multitasking Bar.

If you’ve ever been jailbroken, then no doubt SBSettings is one of your favorite apps, and for many of us it’s our clear number one fave. It makes toggling key services (and the ones that affect battery the most) on and off easily and much more quickly than on a stock phone. So seeing it in the Multitasking Bar has a sort of instant appeal – though I have to say I much prefer being able to invoke it via a simple screen gesture. Then again, I use the Multitasking Bar a lot during the course of a day anyway, so having SBS toggles in there gives me a chance to check their status at the same time as I am switching apps.

What I’d still really love to see is Apple adopting a few of the jailbreak on-screen gestures. I want to be able to pull up the Multitasking Bar without double-tapping the home button.

You can find SBSwicher in Cydia now, priced at $2.99 and under the BigBoss repo. I’m not currently running my iPhone jailbroken – so please share your thoughts on SBSwitcher in the comments so I can live vicariously. Smile
