iWork and iLife Apps in Mac App Store at Launch

Apple’s own iWork and iLife suites are in the new Mac App Store on its launch day, and the six apps that make up the two suites are all in at reasonable prices and can each be purchased individually.

The iWork apps – Keynote (presentations), Numbers(spreadheets), and Pages (word processing) – are priced at $19.99 each. The iLife apps – Garageband, iMovie, and iPhoto – go for $14.99 apiece.

It’s good to see both suites in the new store, and also to see Apple establishing some attractive but reasonable price points for these apps. This will certainly have influence on how many publishers set their Mac app prices.
