DigiTimes is reporting that the new CDMA iPhone is likely set to launch in other countries with similar networks to Verizon’s such as China, Japan, and South Korea. They also claim that Apple has set to produce some 7 million CDMA iPhone 4s in Q1 of 2011.
The report also confirms Pegatron has been added as one of Apple’s iPhone 4 manufacturing partners. Apple’s traditional manufacturing partner, Foxconn, has already whipped up a batch of CDMA iPhone 4s in December, and they are en route to the States. Pegatron will then be shipping their production to the rest of the world this month.
China Telecom, and India’s Reliance and Tata networks, all appear to have an interest in carrying the new CDMA iPhone 4.
If I had to guess, this announcement will come in the summer alongside a new iPhone announcement at this year’s WWDC.
