LockInfo 3.0 beta for iPhone has gone public

LockInfo 3.0, which I recently previewed here, is now available for public testing, according to a tweet from developer David Ashman. To access this beta, all you need to do is add the http://apt.dba-technologies.com/beta/ repo to your Cydia sources. Ashman also added that this beta has only been tested on iOS 4 so far, so I wouldn’t expect too much stability on iOS 3.

I’ve had the beta for the last couple of days and it’s been relatively stable for me overall. I have had two setbacks, though. One was a bad update through Cydia that caused my device to simply lock down (requiring a restore). This happened just yesterday and I’ve since re-jailbroken using Redsn0w 0.9.6b4 and re-installed the LockInfo 3.0 beta. Everything installed perfectly this time around, but I did experience two strange crashes this morning (requiring soft resets to fix).

This is all pretty typical for a beta experience, but if you want to stick to the most rock solid release of LockInfo, stay with 2.x until 3.0 hits its final release.
