Beejive ($9.99), the big daddy of messaging apps on iOS, has been updated to version 3.2. The changes this time around aren’t terribly exciting, but here’s what I’ve noticed so far:
- Location Support. I’ve never had use for location support and the one time I tried it within WhatsApp, it reported that I was four blocks away from where I was actually standing. Maybe Beejive’s implementation is a little better, though.
- UI Enhancements. This is a terribly vague description, and so I’ve only found two ‘enhancements’ to report. The time stamps for the Chat list are a little cleaner now and all the settings for Beejive have been moved right into the app (they used to be in Settings.app).
Sorry folks, I warned you that this wasn’t terribly exciting (but at least I can pretend to speak Simplified Chinese within the app now).
