Overnight, Apple has slightly altered the look and feel of their entire website. Specifically, the top menubar has is now considerably darker, and has a glassy finish to it.
More interesting however, are the new “scroll” menus that adorn the top of the “Mac” and “iPod” pages. Previously, users could scroll horizontally to view and select products they are interested in. Now, this area is occupied by a similar product view, however clicking on sub categories such as “Macs” or “Accessories” causes the products to slide in with neat ajax/javascript/HTML5- type animations.

Personally, I think the dark at the top looks too heavy for the rest of the site, especially considering how the site has a lighter background. It’ll take some getting used to, but consider this another step in Apple ever increasing effort to “iPad-ify” everything.
