Introducing iKit’s AutoCharge car charger and squiggly USB cable for iPhone and iPad

The iKit AutoCharge looks like a relatively affordable car charger at the $25 price point, but that price will skyrocket if, like me, you lack the requisite car to make use of it. I don’t really blame iKit for not including a car with the charger, though.

There isn’t  too much to report here with regards to the charger itself — it has a rubberized shell to add a bit of style (and grip), and a “high performance” USB port that might charge your iPhone, iPad or iPod a little faster – but the included USB cable does show a bit of promise. It’s got a “squiggly” (real scientific term) cable design, meaning it should be very flexible and compact, which is exactly what the default white iPhone cable is not.

So if you do pick one of these AutoCharges up from iKit’s website, I suggest hot-swapping your iPhone cable and using iKit’smore compact cable for your gear bag. You’ll be happier and squigglier for it.
