Apple today made available iOS 4.2.6 (build 8E200) for the Verizon iPhone, ahead of the device’s release in the following weeks.
This is really only newsworthy because the Verizon iPhone on display when the device was announced, ran iOS 4.2.5, which suggests that Apple has changed something, even on a non-user accessible level, since the device was shown.
I highly doubt that this is anything earth shattering. Likely just a final touch on the OS, something to do with making sure the connection with the CDMA network, and nothing more. At any rate, here is the link to iOS 4.2.6.
