VentureBeat is reporting that the ever-popular Apple co-founder, Steve Wozniak, claims that the white iPhone 4 saw delays due to issues with the painting of the plastic, which if not done properly would allow light to leak into the casing hampering the camera’s ability to function properly. Regardless, Wozniak claims that the white iPhone’s problems have been iron out, and the device will be put into production soon.
Apple of course, is rapidly approaching their “spring” timeframe that they set for the white iPhone 4’s availability, which had been delayed several times before. We’re seeing signs that the device will be available soon anyway.
Wozniak still receives a salary from Apple, and has been a decent source of news in the past, although not always exact information. If I had to guess, Apple finally got the act together and will be shipping the white iPhone 4 soon. Almost in time for the iPhone refresh this summer.
