Don’t get me wrong, I wasted my money on Awesome Note for the very same reasons you outlined above. But I would really like something almost as awesome but does a back up that syncs across platforms. So far I have been using Simple Note, Google Tasks and Google Calendar but I sure would like an all in one solution. Hopefully a commentor will have the answer.

I love the app, but it getting very old waiting for OTA sync – so even though it would take something very special to make me switch, I’m also keeping my eye out for new, shiny things.

@EB That would be good. What I think would be even better is if Apple let 3rd party companies come in and offer some real, proper backup solutions. I can only imagine that the complete absence of any means that Apple doesn’t allow sufficient access for any to be created. I’ve said this before, and still believe that this is one of the very few areas where Windows Mobile did things better. There were some great backup apps available for WinMo.

Then this problem would be moot!

Omnifocus being the one I am thinking of..

I use Things currently.. but am always looking for something new.. AND SHINY! and with more then itunes backup..

There are plenty of them out there.

your article exactly describe what I feel when I read that, and who uses a productivity app in one device only? syncing with the cloud is necessary for me.
