Quick Mac Tip: use a binder clip to keep your MagSafe adapter on your desk

This is a tip I got from Lifehacker quite a while back. I can’t find the original post, but I did spot the tip again in this quick Top-10 list of ways to tidy your cables.

Basically, this all boils down to taping one of those thick binder clips to the edge of your desk and then threading your MagSafe adapter through it. This makes sure that your MagSafe will always stay at desk-level and eliminates those crappy situations where you’ll unplug your laptop and watch helplessly as the adapter slides slowly but surely off your desk and onto the floor. I’ve been using the same clip in the same spot for months and haven’t had any problems.

In fact, I’d go so far as to suggest that Apple  include a white binder clip with every MacBook purchase for sexy cable management purposes…and I also know that I’m now being absurd. 🙂
