
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the next-generation iPad has entered into production, and will be thinner, lighter, and faster processor and GPU. The device will also be available through AT&T and Verizon.

The new device will be thinner, lighter and will come with a faster processor, more memory and a more powerful graphics processor, said the people familiar with the matter. It will have a front-facing camera for the first time for features like video-conferencing, but the resolution of the new iPad’s display will be similar to the first iPad, they said.
First off, this sounds like one of Apple’s controlled leaks. They almost always call The Wall Street Journal and give them the scoop. Secondly, we’ve heard all of this before over the past few months. Lastly, none of this sounds unreasonable, and follow Apple’s product update formula – faster, lighter, thinner.
