Steve Jobs and Other Industry Leaders to Meet with President Obama Tomorrow

ABC News:

Apple CEO Steve Jobs, who recently took a medical leave of absence from his company, and Google chief executive Eric Schmidt will be among the attendees of President Obama’s event with business leaders in San Francisco Thursday evening, a source familiar with the event tells ABC News.

The two have met in the past to discuss the tech industry and the economy. Other industry giants such as Eric Schmidt and Mark Zuckerberg will also be be meeting with the president.

Bloomberg is also reporting that the two men are going to meet for about 45 minutes at a San Franciscan hotel.

Obama and Jobs are scheduled to meet for about 45 minutes at a San Francisco hotel for a discussion on the economy and technology issues, Gibbs said.

“This is a meeting the president was interested in having,” Gibbs told reporters traveling with Obama. “He’s eager to talk to him about the economy, innovation and technology, education.”
