Bloomberg is reporting on a Yuanta Securities Co. research report that claims the next-generation iPad won’t be released in the next few weeks as widely expected, but rather will arrive in June.
The report by Vincent Chen and Alison Chen, analysts at Yuanta, cited production bottlenecks at Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. after Apple made design changes before the Lunar New year.
As I hinted above, this is in direct contradiction to all of the other reports we’ve heard so far regarding the next-generation iPad in the way of release date. Also worth noting, is the fact that Yuanta Securities has no track record on Apple predictions, so take this report with a grain of salt.
All of that said, I tend to agree with this report more than the others. A spring release still feels “off” to me, but I’m not sure it’ll be a fall release like others have speculated either.
So much uncertainty.
