We’ve heard reports in recent days that have suggested that both the next-generation iPad and iPhone will be delayed, namely due to production issues.
Well, Jim Dalrymple of The Loop is flatly claiming that these reports are false, and that everything is on schedule.
From what I’ve heard this morning both products are on schedule and will ship when they are supposed to. Only Apple knows exactly when that will be, but the products are not delayed.
Reuters also reports more of the same in a tweet that simply stated:
FLASH: Report that Apple’s next version of iPad will be delayed until June is not true -source
Anyway, Dalrymple goes on to make the point that I was going to make if he hadn’t. That is, people are claiming that Apple products are “delayed” without anyone outside of Apple really knowing when those products were going to be released in the first place.
In short, the next-generation iPhone and iPad will get here when they get here, but all signs suggest they’re on track. The iPhone will be introduced during WWDC, and the next iPad looks like it’s poised to be introduced March 2nd. We’ll keep you covered.
