Tilt to Live 1.7 for iPhone is out! Viva la Coop!

Oh my. I actually had this screenshot ready to go about 30 minutes ago but I decided to find a friend and put this update through some rigorous testing. Some 30 minutes and 2,000,000 points later, I’m now ready to tell you that this co-op update rocks and totally lives up to the hype that the hilarious trailer .

Tilt to Live ($2.99) is already an incredible, incredible single player action game, but bringing a friend along for the ride completely changes the pacing of the action. Only one person can man the powerful Perforator turret at any given moment, which means the other guy (or gal) has to weave in and out of the enemy dots to collect point modifiers and more ammo.

There are a few bugs, though. In our 30 minutes of play we experienced one disconnection and had to quit the app to get the multiplayer to work again (and even when we did, my friend saw two hosted games, even though I was the only other iPhone around). There can also be sections with a little bit of lag, but nothing so bad that it’ll stop you from properly bobbing and weaving through waves of red dots.

Minor bugs aside, however, I still think this update is a smash hit, and well worth the extra $0.99 in-app purchase (note: owners of the Viva La Turret expansion need not pay again).
