9to5Mac is reporting on recently discovered images which are purportedly of white iPad bezel. This of course, suggests that Apple may be preparing to introduce a white iPad in the near future, likely at Wednesday’s scheduled media event.
The elephant in the room is of course, that Apple introduced the white iPhone 4 last June, but has yet been able to ship the device, reportedly due to issues with paint. This is also the first we’ve heard of a white iPad, and with just days to go before what is believed to be the unveiling of the next-generation iPad on March 2nd.
It’s certainty not unheard of, but to me, this surfacing just prior to the rumored launch seems fishy. If it were legitimate, I think we would have heard more about it in the last several months.
So, count me skeptical for their being a white model of the next-generation iPad. However, you can bet it will fit the mold of Apple updates- faster, lighter, thinner.
