I’ve been playing with the beta for Notesy 1.5 — one of the best note-taking apps on iOS — for the last week or two and haven’t had any issues with it, so feel free to upgrade away once the update finishes percolating through iTunes.
As to the nitty gritty: if you’re not a technical user then you probably won’t find too much to get terribly excited about in this release, but if you are, then you’ll find almost all the changes hidden away in the Advanced settings.
Notesy also received a little overhaul with regards to memory usage — especially for large note databases. I’m now approaching 750 notes within Notesy and the app still flies along beautifully on my iPhone 3GS. I can’t say I’ve noticed a major speed increase, but I will never complain about developers working hard to make their apps faster.
If you fear menus, toggles, and switches, then simply update to 1.5 for now and save some of your Eager (a noun I made up just now) for Notesy’s next release (which should feature subfolder support, ooo!).
