Apple Possibly Holding Media Event in April for MobileMe Overhaul, iOS 5

apple_hq.jpgMacerkopf.de (via MacRumors) is reporting that Apple will hold a media event early next month to show off iOS 5 and the much-rumored MobileMe overhaul. Specifically, the report claims the event will be held on the Apple campus and during the first half of April.

This sounds right on target to me. In fact, I was surprised when neither of these subjects were not mentioned at the iPad 2 media event last week. However, if Apple were to hold an event next month , they would be keeping well within tradition since 2008, where the company has held events in the spring focusing on new versions of iOS. What seems more iffy to me, is if Apple will introduce a the overhauled MobileMe at this time, or wait until the summer, say WWDC.

Time will tell, but if I had to wager, I would expect an iOS event next month.
