I too, am on the fence wither I should buy the ipad2 or not, in the beginning it was more of a luxury item. Seeing (with this article)how it will help me with not just passing the time from dying of boredom, but with apps for work it will be more beneficial then lugging around my XPS everywhere (waiting for OS Lion to come out before i get myself the MBP 15″).

Cheers for the article Joe!

I definitely agree with your comments. Mostly when people ask me what I do with my iPad, the real answer would be so extensive, I usually settle for, “Everything I used my computer for.” That, unfortunately, doesn’t give them a feel for what it can actually do.

I’m saving this article for the apps you have listed. Great resource.

Thank you!

The article itself was so well-written, I figured the “wither” in the title was either a type or a momentary brain cramp!

I am extremely excited for the new iPad 2 to be released, and have all sorts of ideas for what I intend to do with it…this only fueled my fire. Thank you for bringing professional attention to many things that assist you, I look forward to doing much of the same.
I agree with your comment about “it’s just a big media player”, that’s how I felt originally, and never considered getting an iPad until I saw some people use them for this or that, here or there. With all the hype of the new release, I started paying more attention. This article nailed it for me as to how it will help me be more productive. Thank you!

I think I’ll show it to my husband in the hope that he won’t resist when I line up to buy an iPad2 when they’re released in Canada.

Just one quibble: Your title, I think should be “Whither iPad?” meaning, where goes the iPad, or Where iPad?, which I think is your intent.

Wither means “to dry up or shrivel” which makes no sense in the context of your article.
