iOS 4.3 Update Out Now, Brings New Features Such as Hotspot Sharing, AirPlay and Safari Improvements

Screen shot 2010-12-13 at 9.35.54 PM.pngJust as predicted, Apple has released iOS 4.3 to the public, ahead of their planned March 11th release. This is a relatively large update for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch (3rd and 4th gen), iPad, and Apple TV.

Now as for the meat of the update, it offers new features such as AirPlay access for third-party developers and websites (so they can stream video to other devices now too). Home Sharing improvements, wherein a user can stream content from any iTunes library over Wi-Fi. Safari speed boots. Option allowing users to set what they want the side switch to be used for on the iPad- either mute or screen orientation lock. Lastly, hotspot sharing for the GSM iPhone 4 owners, which is the same Wi-Fi sharing the CDMA (Verizon) iPhone has had since it’s launch early last month.
