Need To Transfer Videos Shot On iPhone To iPad? There’s An Adapter For That

So, you got that new, shiny, iPad 2, and downloaded iMovie so you could put together a production that would put Spielberg in his place.   One problem – you want to shoot the video with the iPhone and edit on the iPad 2 – how do you transfer the videos?   Here’s how.

Turns out, it’s very easy.   Just pick up the iPad Camera Connection Kit, and plug your iPhone in using the normal charge/sync cable.    Your iPhone’s photos and videos will appear on an import screen on the iPad.   Choose the ones you want to use, transfer them (and optionally delete them from the iPhone), and they will be ready to import into iMovie or your app of choice.

If you don’t have the camera kit, or just want to go wireless, the Photo Transfer App from Enrique Rodriguez is a universal app that will allow you to transfer photos and video between your iDevices or a computer via WiFi. I’ve been using it for a while, and it works great. It is $2.99 in the App Store. There are some other in there that are free, but I’m not sure how well any of them work. If anybody out there tries one, let us know if any of them do a good job with video.
