
Reuters is reporting that Apple has postponed the iPad 2 launch in Japan following the recent tragedies that have unfolded in that country. The launch had been previously slated for March 25th (and in other countries). Apple did not elaborate on when the product might be released there.
In other news, Kevin Rose of Digg fame, released an email that a friend sent him, reports that Apple is doing it’s own small part to help the victims in Japan. Apple’s retails stores acted as temporary shelters for customers and employees, while also serving as a connectivity hub so survivors could contact family.
