Hardmac is reporting on an image which is purportedly that of a case designed to be used with Apple’s upcoming next-generation iPhone. If this is a legitimate image, it suggests that there will be little in the way of new design to the next-generation iPhone’s form-factor.
This isn’t a new story really. We’ve heard a series of reports since the beginning of the year, that have suggested the new iPhone will look very similar to the current iPhone 4 design. That said, we’ve also had conflicting reports that suggest Apple may be working on a redesign.
So, this does little other than muddy the water further. If I had to guess, this next iPhone won’t have dramatic redesign. They might run the screen right up to the edge of the device, but other than that, it will look very similar. That’s the way it looks at the moment anyway.
