If you’ve been looking for a gorgeous and versatile version of Solitaire to play on your Mac, look no further than Mondo Solitaire ($9.99; trial available) from Ambrosia Software. The $10 asking price may seem a little steep for a game that comes free with every installation of Windows, but there are two things that stand out about Mondo: it’s drop-dead gorgeous and it features over 100 different kinds of solitaire (including three variations of Spider, for you Spider fiends).
There are also separate versions of Mondo for the iPhone and iPad, but I’ve posted this as Mac news because that’s really how it hit me. Mondo may well be one less reason for Mac converts to miss their Windows machines.
