Apple Confirms International Launch of iPad 2 on March 25th

Apple has confirmed their previously slated plans to bring the iPad 2 to 25 other countries, including Canada, France, German, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland and the UK, this Friday, March 25th.
Here’s a quote from Apple’s press release:

“While competitors are still struggling to catch up with our first iPad, we’ve changed the game again with iPad 2,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “We’re experiencing amazing demand for iPad 2 in the US, and customers around the world have told us they can’t wait to get their hands on it. We appreciate everyone’s patience and we are working hard to build enough iPads for everyone.”

Just like the US launch, the iPad 2 will go on sale online at 1AM local time, and on sale in Apple’s retail stores at 5PM that same day.

Also worth noting is that Apple announced that come April, other countries such as Hong Kong and Singapore be able to purchase the iPad 2. There is still no word however, when Apple plans to release the iPad 2 in Japan, seeing as they delayed the launch in the wake of that country’s recent disasters.
