There are, of course, a myriad of good ways to donate and help those affected by the terrible disasters in Japan recently. Here’s one that has an App Store connection. Developers Masashi Ono and Milo Bird (developer of the Byline RSS app) have created a website that showcases apps that are currently donating 100% of their proceeds to Japan relief efforts.

Here’s the site’s short mission statement:

The world is united in sympathy for the people of Japan as they recover from a devastating earthquake. iPhone and iPad developers from around the globe have pledged to donate 100% of the proceeds from the apps below to charities such as the Japanese Red Cross Society

So this is a nice way to potentially pick up a nice new app and do a little bit of good at the same time. The list of apps on the site is relatively short right now, but hopefully it will grow quickly as awareness of it grows.

You can also donate to Japan relief via the home page of iTunes.
