Apple’s Sacramento Facility Evacuated After Bomb Scare

apple logistics - large.jpgAppleInsider is reporting that Apple’s distribution in Elk Grove, Calif (near Sacramento) was evacuated at 9:30AM local time, due to a bomb threat. The evacuation encompassed building’s A, B and C, which were three warehouses with 450,000 total square footage. These warehoused were mainly used for receiving, warehousing, and logistics that housed refurbished products, returned items, and the company’s finance and human resource operations.

After five hours, and a search of more than 100,000 square feet, an all-clear was given by the Elk Grove police. Nothing of any danger was found. As of yet, there is no mention of what caused the alarm.
