Check out this incredible App Store review of Color

In case you haven’t already heard, a free social networking app called Color was released a few days ago and, although it has been driving many users completely batty, it has also seriously taken off on the App Store charts. I don’t want to get into what Color actually does because, to be perfectly honest, I’m still not entirely sure, but it, apparently has more to do with data mining than with actual photo sharing. The app is clearly labelled under “social networking” instead of “photography”, but that’s not saying much.

So instead of writing more on the issue, I’d like to link you to a truly epic piece of writing: namely, Ghostmoth’s review of Color on the App Store (assembled in screenshots by Mike Cohen). The word “epic” is over-used these days, but this really is an amazing piece of writing that tries to narrate the Color user experience as if it were an old-school text-based RPG (like Zork).
