Apple has announced that WWDC (World Wide Developers Conference) 2011 will be held on June 6th-10th, at it’s usual venue, Mascone West in San Francisco, California. You can get conference tickets starting now, for $1599- act quick, the last several years have seen a sell out in a matter of days.
Here’s what SVP of Worldwide Product Marketing, Phil Schiller had to say:
“At this year’s conference we are going to unveil the future of iOS and Mac OS,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “If you are an iOS or Mac OS X software developer, this is the event that you do not want to miss.”
There will be over 100 technical session for developers and over 1000 Apple engineers to guide the way. As compared to last year’s focus on iOS, this year it seems Apple is splitting it’s attention between both iOS and Mac OS X. In short, expect iOS 5 and OS X Lion announcements.
If you were wondering, Apple’s June 6th-10th schedule does match up with the discovered “corporate meeting” from February.
From all the anecdotal stories I’ve heard, if you’re at all interested, or currently involved with development for any of Apple’s platforms, this is the conference to learn at.
