Their prices are great, they provide very good instructions along with the memory, and their customer service is excellent too. I had one bad batch of memory from them, and they did an RMA with no questions asked and got replacement memory sent quickly.

Oh, and you’ll find with all the recent MacBooks this is very easy to do.

Yours is probably the same model as mine. And yeah, even with ‘just’ the standard 4GB these things are powerful beasties.

Only 4 gigs in it, and for 5 days now it’s had Chrome, Firefox, Mail, Adium, RDC, ARD, X-Chat, Citrix, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and a Parallels XP instance running simultaneously without a hiccup.

Those last 4 are pretty resource intensive, but not an issue. I don’t understand why anyone buys desktops anymore.

So I reckon you know far better than I what’s a good deal on that one. Sounds like it’s working well for you.

@ Rob Heggen Cool, glad to hear yours is kicking butt too. Oh, yikes on the acne part – any swelling of the hat size?

@ john M Holmes – whoa there, keep your voice down. My MBP will end up shooting up in alleyways to get an edge on the new ones if it hears that. 🙂

Just got one having been using a Mid 2009 White MacBook for nearly 2 years… Holy wow this thing is a speed demon on fire!

My processor gets a little more taxed that yours but applications still run snappy with 10+ open. I have noticed an increase in acne on it’s top lid so not everything is roses.

I don’t really need the power as I use it basically for web browsing, iPhoto, iTunes, etc. New iMacs I’ve heard are on the horizon but I got the iMac for about $550 which isn’t a bad deal right? Would you have paid the additional $700 for a smaller and faster iMac which I might not need all the power. Thanks.
