Twitter App’s Quick / Dick Bar Scrapped

TiwtterQuickBarRemoved

The infamous Quick Bar – or Dick Bar as it has become far better known – in the official Twitter app for iOS, has been removed in its latest update.

Looks like the folks at Twitter have gathered that the new bar – which highlighted trending topics – was not at all well-received by users or lots of sites that write about iOS. And that’s putting it very mildly. It was obviously hated enough to convince Twitter to make a very sudden reversal on this feature – it was ‘alive’ in the app for less than a month.

Some sites have got R.I.P posts up today for the Quick/Dick Bar – but I think the reaction among most users is more along the lines of Good Riddance.
