Apple Took in $9.6 Billion in Revenue from iPad, Competitors Brought in $34 Million

As compared to everyone else in the tablet market, which brought in a measly $34 million. All together $9.6 billion was spent on tablets in 2010, and Apple brought in damn near all of it.

Of course, more competitors are emerging, but it’s doubtful that they will sell 15 million units in a year as the first iPad did. Plus, with the new iPad 2, sales are still strong, and have little indication of letting up.

Keep an eye on this market, it’s going to be a lot of fun to watch develop.
