ifoAppleStore is reporting that Apple plans to open their first retail store in Arkansas sometime this October, in Little Rock.

After an extended four-year courtship, Apple has finalized plans — for a second time — to open a store at the Promenade at Chenal mall in Little Rock (Ark.). Job listings for the future store were posted last week, indicating an October grand opening.
This store has been in the making for a long time. The first evidence came in May of 2007, when the mall was opened, and one of the tenants was marked as “Apple”, and building permits were filed for later that year. Come January of ’08 job postings were spotted hiring to staff this location, then it went silent. It wasn’t until October of last year that any new reports surfaced regarding the project.
Just earlier today we heard reports that Apple was planning to open another Apple store, also this October, in Utah, which will be that state’s second Apple retail store.
