In my case apple base station and timed access. Turned it off and the problem went away. Unfortunately the person bleeding my wifi didn’t so had to boost my protection.

Mine didn’t but Apple was cool and swapped the device for me today. New one is connecting just fine.

@Eric – Good point, but I prefer having the ATV have its full functionality.

@Chris – cool, twice the Apple TV goodness sounds nice. I’ve seen a little of that sluggish waking up thing in the past, but never to a severe degree.

The only issue I’ve ever had was trying to “wake up” the ATV after it has gone to sleep. The latest update has for the most part fixed it, but it still seems to not want to wake up sometimes. Overall, I LOVE the product and I look forward to seeing how Apple TV is enhanced over the coming years.

PS. I tried a Roku. Not too bad, but I prefer the Apple TV by miles!

I been doing this since I got my ATV and it work just fine with 2 iPhones.

I stepped through all the steps you took except calling Apple. Ran the “Restore” routine and re-downloaded latest firmware … been working without difficulty.
