Bloomberg is reporting that Apple has been granted permission in a ruling by U.S. District Judge Jeremy Fogel to move forward with their suit against third-party accessories for Apple products. Apple launched the suit last July with the purpose of stopping companies pumping out products that “are of inferior quality and reliability, raising significant concerns over compatibility with and damage to Apple’s products.”
EForCity, challenged Apple’s claims stating that the court needed to remove comments from Apple that were “redundant, immaterial, impertinent or scandalous.” The court ultimately removed comments from a dissatisfied users that Apple had incorporated in their suit, but ultimately decided to go forward with the case.
In short, Apple is suing a company for making substandard products that they claim are damaging their own products. The accessory maker fights to have nasty things said about them removed from the case. That was done, and now the case is moving forward. Whatever.
