The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) 2011 show has begun and focusses on Audio/Film professionals. That said, Jigsaw Broadcast reports that several new Thunderbolt capable products have been seen at the show, from manufacturers such as AJA, Blackmagic, Matrox, and Promise.
Most of these Thunderbolt products coming out of NAB seem to be RAID arrays aimed at video professionals. Which makes sense considering the venue and the technology is suited for high speed transfers of large amounts of data. From what I understand however, none of these products are yet shipping.
Worth giving lip service is that sometime tomorrow, it has been rumored Apple will announce a new version of Final Cut Pro at NAB 2011. We’ll see if that holds true.
