Apple Looking for Feedback With ‘Pulse’ Program

Apple is now looking for customer feedback with their new “Apple Customer Pulse” program, which is in place to get feedback about their purchasing habits in regards to Apple products.
Here’s what the body of the announcement email says:

Apple values your opinion and invites you to participate in a survey about your Apple products. Your responses will remain completely confidential, and results will be viewed only in aggregate. The survey should take five minutes or less to complete.

This program, with those who accept to take it on, will have Apple sending them up to two surveys per month, to help Apple gauge customer opinion of their products.

This is odd. Apple only rarely takes surveys from their customers. In fact, I’m only familiar with them taking surveys when they update their website, or online store. Apple is now looking for opinions on their products. Something to my knowledge, they’ve never done before.
