Apple Releases Preview 3 of Mac OS X Lion, Xcode 4.1 Preview 5

Mac-OS-X-10.7-Lion_feature.pngMacStories is reporting that Apple has pushed out Mac OS X Lion Developer Preview 3 to developers alongside Xcode 4.1 Developer Preview 5. This new Lion preview comes straight off the heels of Preview 2 which was released this time last month, and mainly contained UI tweaks.

This Developer Preview seems to be enabling some of previously disabled new features, while continuing to make some UI tweaks. Some of these changes include:
– New next desktop button in Dashboard space
– Great compatibility with external displays, especially in regards to Mission Control
– Finder toolbar has been tweaked
– Scrollbars change color depending on context. Lighter bars over dark background, and vice versa.
_ Updated Wallpapers, added new ones.
-“Reading List” feature in Safari, is now enabled
– New Login screen

The changes found in Xcode 4.1 must be under NDA, or haven’t been found yet, as we’re not hearing of any changes in Preview 5.
