AppleInsider points to a job posting on Apple’s corporate site for a “Media Streaming Engineering Manager” with Apple’s Interactive Media Group. This is the same group that handles live streaming, video on demand, and local media playback technologies used in Apple products such as Quicktime and Safari.
The interesting part of the post comes from the description. Apple’s looking for someone to help build “We are looking for an excellent engineering manager to join our team and help develop our media streaming engine for our iOS, Mac OS X, and Windows products.” And they are looking for some who can deliver “complex software releases on tight schedules with high quality”.
Who knows if this ties into Apple’s rumored to be forthcoming music streaming service, which reportedly has wrapped up development.
