Apple Under Fire From Tax Lobbying Group

us_uncut_apple.jpgCNet is reporting that Apple is under fire from US Uncut, an organization here in the States that hopes to call attention to companies who reportedly avoid taxes. Currently the organization is planning a series of protests at Apple retail locations on June 4th*. US Uncut is specifically targeting Apple’s participation in the “Win America Campaign”, wherein Apple and other companies have come together to lobby for one-time tax breaks on profits held overseas.

Other companies the group is targeting include: Verizon, FedEx, GE, BP, and Bank of America. However, Apple seems to be the big target for the group’s “dance-in” protests, and other activities.
