iOS 5 will usher in the ‘Post PC’ era on iOS devices, making them PC Free.

At the WWDC 2011 keynote Apple has announced that in iOS 5 will bring OTA (Over the Air) activation for iOS devices – so no more need to connect to a PC when you bring home a new iPhone or iPad.  They also announced that firmware (operating system) updates for iOS devices will be done over the air. And .. we’ll be able to do iTunes sync and backup wirelessly as well.

All of this is great news for iOS users, and there’s so much of that flowing out of today’s keynote.
