A federal judge has denied Apple’s preliminary injunction to halt Amazon’s use of the term “appstore” in the branding of their Android app marketplace. Apple to Permit Additional Final Cut Pro 7 Licenses for Enterprise Customers

MacRumors reports that Apple held a private Final Cut Pro X briefing, for enterprise customers, in London on Wednesday. There they discussed several things, including Apple’s move to allow existing enterprise customers to purchase more FCP 7 licenses if they so choose. This is a direct response to customer complains wherein Apple took away the ability to purchase FCP 7 before users could acclimate to FCP X’s new user interface and functionality. Flextronic Executive Pleads Guilty to the Leaking of Apple-Related Secrets to Research Firms

The New York Times is reporting that a former executive, Walter Shimoon, of Flextronics has pleaded guilty on two counts of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, and one count of security fraud.
