Macitynet.it, an Italian site, reported earlier that promotional materials for OS X Lion are now popping up at third-party retailers. One such retailer, Euronics, was displaying a large banner, and accompanying table-top signage. The banners advertise new features in Lion, and states that the OS is “now on all new Macs”. However, the demo machines have not yet been upgraded to the new OS. The Macitynet.it report has since been pulled by request, and Euronics has taken down the signage.

Other reports suggest that Apple will be planning overnight shifts at their own retail stores so that staff can prep the demo machines for tomorrow’s launch. Of course, Apple will also roll out the appropriate banners and signage in this timeframe as well.

Remember, it’s also being reported that Apple, at bare minimum, will also be rolling out new MacBook Airs tomorrow as well. Possibly new Thunderbolt-equipped LED Cinema displays as well.
